The key to good health is to drink pure water eight times per day. It is critical to recognize that clean water is rapidly becoming a scarce resource. It is also necessary for sanitation. Clean water is required for washing clothes, cooking, and cleaning (Environment, Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation).

There are many facts and data about clean water and sanitation for example There are 650 million people in the world who do not have access to safe drinking water. This equates to roughly one in every ten people on the planet. Two-thirds of the US population lacks access to safe drinking water. There are 2.4 billion people who do not have access to safe sanitation or latrines. That equates to one out of every three people on the planet (Sustainable development goal 6 2022).
